PRE-HURRICANE INFORMATION
TRIM TREES AND SHRUBBERY
Now is the time to trim trees and shrubbery, and to remove coconuts.
All vegetation is picked up in the City on a weekly basis. Trim your trees now before the rush! Bulk pick-up is for homeowner generated materials only.
Please remember, if your trees are trimmed by your landscape contractor, the contractor is required to remove all their debris.
DISPOSE OF TRASH AND UNWANTED HOUSEHOLD ITEMS
Now is the time to get rid of unwanted items.
In previous years many residents waited until a hurricane was on its way before they emptied out their garages to make room for vehicles, and unfortunately had to bring their unwanted household items and trash back into their garages because there wasn't enough time for trash collection.
Please review the Public Works Recycling tab for disposal of hazardous materials.
CITY BUS FREE Transportation to summer camp, shopping centers, and the City Library

LHP Resident Auto Decals”
The Fraternal Order
of Police “Resident” auto decals are available to all residents of Lighthouse
Point. The decals help Officers easily identify resident vehicles. The decals
can be picked up at the Lighthouse Point Police Department for no cost. A
donation is appreciated to cover the costs of producing the decals.
ARE YOU OKAY PROGRAM
This Lighthouse Point Police Department Program is designed
to check up on residents who may be elderly, ill, or alone. They are called
daily to be sure they are "OK." The calls are computer generated and if after
3 calls made at 10 minute intervals no answer is received, an alert is printed
and an officer is dispatched to the home to make personal contact. If you or
anyone you know is in need of this service, please call the Lighthouse Point Police Department at 954-942-8080.

FREE
CHILD CAR SEAT SAFETY INSTALLATION AND INSPECTION FOR LIGHTHOUSE POINT RESIDENTS
The Fire Rescue Department will conduct child car seat safety inspections and will install the child car safety seats for Lighthouse Point residents. Inspections and installations will be done by appointment only. Call the Fire Department at 954-941-2624 to make an appointment.
The proper use of child
car seats can reduce fatal injuries to infants by 71% and toddlers by 47%.
Although participating in the program will not guarantee a child’s safety
in a motor vehicle accident, it can provide valuable information for parents
about child safety seats. It takes about 15 minutes to perform the inspection.
Under Florida law, e-mail addresses, e-mails, correspondence, and other documents
