COVID-19 Services Update

Broward County will be resuming Household Hazardous Waste and Electronics Collections only starting on Saturday, June 20, 2020. Please note that the County has made operational changes that residents should be aware of:

  • Drop off centers will be operating under abbreviated hours every Saturday from 9 am to 3 pm until further notice.
  • At this time the County will not be accepting Bulk Trash or Yard Waste at any of the Residential Drop Off Centers until further notice.
  • Resident’s will be required to follow CDC guidelines for social distancing and other safety measures which will be communicated through posted signage located throughout the Centers.

The nearest Residential Drop Off Center is located at 2780 N. Powerline Road, Pompano Beach, FL 33069.

Household Hazardous Waste

Do not include Household Hazardous Waste in household garbage containers.

Effective October 1, 2014, Lighthouse Point residents can once again utilize the Broward County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection site at 2780 N Powerline Road, Pompano Beach. Electronic components are also accepted. That facility is open every Saturday from 8 am to 4 pm. There is no charge for residents to drop-off items. You will need to provide a driver’s license or other proof of residency. The City will no longer conduct the semi-annual HHW events at Frank McDonough Park.

Container Sizes

Containers may not exceed five gallons; limit 25 gallons per visit.
